COVID-19 updates
We wish to keep all our clients updated of Welsh Government guidance and Llain’s dynamic and updated ‘Normal Operating Procedures’.
We are delighted to be offering ‘organised activities’ for children again including school and group residential trips from the New Year 2022. Numbers within each group will always be kept within Welsh Government guidelines. Also, hygiene arrangements are in place as detailed.
COVID-19 procedures
Parents are asked to complete a Medical form which highlights any relevant issues including asking about any recent COVID symptoms.
All kit issued to clients is disinfected in accordance with National Governing Body guidelines, this includes being ‘dunked’ in a tank of diluted disinfectant and leaving out to dry in the open air. Where possible, kit is also quarantined for 72 hours, this usually being possible due to recent purchase of more kit and working with smaller groups.
Any parents staying on site with younger clients must socially distance themselves from each other as well as from the instructor.
Children are briefed on how to wear and adjust any equipment provided by Llain, younger children may need the aid of parents for this but the instructors will only advise and observe from a ‘safe’ distance. Clients will dunk any borrowed kit into the ‘hygiene tank’ themselves and hang it up to dry.
The Outdoor kitchen area as well as touchpoints around the kit store and toilet block will be disinfected periodically.
Llain Activity Centre is committed to providing a COVID-19 safe environment for all its clients and staff and, to this end we welcome any suggestions to improve our working practices.
